Each week usually looks something like this:
- Two swims (one interval, one stamina)
- Two runs (one interval, one stamina)
- Two rides (one interval/spinning, one stamina)
- Two to four Crossfit strength training workouts or WODs (Workout Of the Day)
- One rest day
This is an alternative method to endurance training that’s designed to maximize efficiency, lessen the toll training takes on the body and increase strength while prepping for endurance. It’s not for everyone, and many people – including Cecily – prefer the Long, Slow, Distance (LSD) method.
Either way, the important thing is to find a program that you’re comfortable with – and stick to it!
